We do this primarily by ensuring that our clients receive their full entitlements under the SR&ED (Scientific Research and Experimental Development) tax credit program. Our vibrant team is composed of multi-disciplinary professionals: Technology Advisors (scientists and engineers) and Tax and Financial Advisors (Chartered Professional Accountants).


The position involves scoping and preparing SR&ED Investment Tax Credit claims for clients, guiding them through the CRA audit process, and providing related tax planning advice. Developing and maintaining relationships with clients is a critical aspect of the job.

The Candidate
You have a CPA designation with public practice experience, preferably with an emphasis on tax.  Experience acting on behalf of clients with tax authorities is an asset, as is exposure to various accounting systems and related software programs.  A willingness to do tax research is also helpful.
An outgoing personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills, you are able to interact well with key individuals at all levels in our diverse client base – presidents, chief financial officers, and tax managers as well as engineers and technology personnel. You are comfortable liaising with accounting professionals from other firms with whom we coordinate our work. You are a goal oriented individual who works well both independently and teamed up with our science experts on a wide variety of clients.  Deadlines don’t faze you.  You have strong analytical skills, are detail oriented and are comfortable looking at issues from multiple perspectives. You seek a challenging environment that enables you to grow professionally.
